{"id":25947,"date":"2019-03-11T16:53:50","date_gmt":"2019-03-11T16:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zemaljskimuzej.ba\/?event=between-two-empires-at-the-slovenian-ethnographic-museum-ljubljana"},"modified":"2019-03-11T16:53:50","modified_gmt":"2019-03-11T16:53:50","slug":"between-two-empires-at-the-slovenian-ethnographic-museum-ljubljana","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/zemaljskimuzej.ba\/en\/event\/between-two-empires-at-the-slovenian-ethnographic-museum-ljubljana\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Between two empires&#8221; at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, Ljubljana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March the 14<sup>th<\/sup> 2019, at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum&nbsp;in Ljubljana, the exhibition &ldquo;Between two empires: Bosnia and Herzegovina photographed by <em>Franti\u0161ek Topi\u010d 1885 &ndash; 1919&ldquo;will be opened.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will also feature a photomonograph of the same name in the edition of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which contains a part of a valuable museum collection of photos on glass panels, dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Franjo Topi\u010d, a museum photographer at the time, recorded a number of details &#8211; costumes, customs, festive occasions and moments of everyday life of the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on photographs that today represent the precious cultural heritage of our country.<\/p>\n<p>The monograph&nbsp;<em>Between Two Empires: Bosnia and Herzegovina photographed by Franti\u0161ek Topi\u010d 1885-1919<\/em>&nbsp;presents a selection of most interesting, mostly unpublished, Topi\u010d&rsquo;s photographs.
