{"id":26461,"date":"2016-03-04T14:26:50","date_gmt":"2016-03-04T14:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zemaljskimuzej.ba\/?exhibition=geological-past-of-bosnia-and-herzegovina"},"modified":"2016-03-04T14:26:50","modified_gmt":"2016-03-04T14:26:50","slug":"geological-past-of-bosnia-and-herzegovina","status":"publish","type":"exhibition","link":"https:\/\/zemaljskimuzej.ba\/en\/exhibitions\/geological-past-of-bosnia-and-herzegovina\/","title":{"rendered":"Geological Past of Bosnia and Herzegovina"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This permanent exhibition in the Natural Sciences Pavilion shows the development and diversity of flora and fauna of the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the geological past.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Tree of Evolution<\/em> shows the geochronological development and extinction of major groups of plants and animals.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit <em>Scenes from the Evolution of Land, Sea, and Life on Earth<\/em> shows a few examples of the distribution of land and water from the genesis of the first Precambrian shields to the Pleistocene, while <em>The Structure of the Earth<\/em> shows the spherical shape of the Earth and how it is made up of rock diverse in composition and unit weight.<\/p>\n<p>Displayed are the basic types of rock, with the sedimentaries spotlighted, because they contain fossils, the remains of organisms from the geological past.
