We are pleased to inform the esteemed audience and visitors of the Museum that, thanks to the International Foundation ALIPH (ALIPH – International alliance for the protection of heritage in conflict areas) https:\/\/www.aliph-foundation.org\/ the reconstruction of certain parts of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues. After providing significant assistance to our institution for the realization of the permanent exhibition "Bosnia and Herzegovina in prehistoric times", regarding the relocation and exhibition of the famous boat from Donja Dolina near Bosanska Gradiska, ALIPH Foundation through a two-year project worth $ 599,511 continues to finance renewal of carpentry and selected, most important depots of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/p>\n
Currently, carpentry replacement works are being carried out on the buildings of the Department of Natural Sciences and the Department of Ethnology, and in the same facilities, complete construction rehabilitation and equipping of the entomological collection depot, as well as ethnological depots where textile and household furniture collections are kept. The importance of the work being performed, which includes equipping with inventory and air conditioning, is best illustrated by the fact that about 500,000 items and samples are kept in these depots, of course, mostly within the entomological collection.<\/p>\n
After the completion of these works, it is planned to start the reconstruction and renovation of the depot of the Department of Archeology, those that store material from the most important archaeological excavations in Bosnia and Herzegovina from prehistoric and ancient times.<\/p>\n
