Today in the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an exhibition was officially opened and a presentation of the project “Ste\u0107ci of the medieval parish of Vidogo\u0161\u0107a” (Phase 1, ste\u0107ci of Ilija\u0161) was held. According to the project manager, Assoc. Dr. Edin Bujak, the main goal is to determine the condition of ste\u0107aks in the area of \u200b\u200bVidogo\u0161\u0107e parish (in phase 1 in the area of \u200b\u200bIlija\u0161a), to present the rich medieval heritage to the public and to create conditions for their further study and affirmation for scientific, educational and touristic purposes.<\/p>\n
The implementation of the project opened up opportunities to create assumptions for the development and enrichment of the tourist offer of the Sarajevo Canton, which is in line with the Canton’s development strategy.<\/p>\n
In the first phase, the project included a detailed survey of a large part of the Municipality of Ilija\u0161, and the state of registered necropolises with ste\u0107ci was recorded. For the first time, the ste\u0107ci were described in detail, precise and georeferenced plans of the necropolis were made, based on which assumptions will be created for the inclusion of ste\u0107ci in the spatial plan of the Municipality. Also, for the first time, the most important ste\u0107ci were photogrammetrically recorded in order to preserve their original shape, size, position and details such as decorations and inscriptions on them from this moment on. This gave the opportunity to create 3D models from the same recordings. Finally, the most important monuments were printed in 3D format and, together with photographs, were presented at the exhibition as one of the aspects of promotion and evaluation of the project itself.<\/p>\n
The project \u201cSte\u0107ci of the Medieval Parish of Vidogo\u0161\u0107a \u2013 Phase 1 (Ste\u0107ci of Ilija\u0161)\u201d was implemented by the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the leadership of the University of Sarajevo \u2013 Faculty of Philosophy, and was financed from project funds of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
