Items donated by the Ceković family to the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina: From the collections of the Ethnology Department of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Objects donated to the Museum become permanent cultural value that is best preserved in the museum space in the long term. The exhibitions motivate visitors and admirers of the Museum to contribute to the richness of its collections and the development of museology in general with their gifts. That’s how Mrs. Milojka Ceković, from Sarajevo, already in 1984 donated a certain number of objects to the Museum. The objects presented in this catalog most beautifully present the metaphor of the postulates of contemporary science, which is based on permanent collection and systematization and the “smallest” contribution to researching the richness and diversity of the ethnographic cultural-historical heritage of all those who have lived in this unique city of religious tolerance and multiculturalism throughout the past.
