Workshop Held at the First Primary School in Bosanska Krupa as Part of the Project “Museums on the Move: Cultural Heritage in the Hands of Youth”
As part of the project “Museums on the Move: Cultural Heritage in the Hands of Youth,” an educational workshop titled “Through the History of Sevdalinka” was held at the First Primary School in Bosanska Krupa.
The workshop was led by Zanin Berbić, curator-ethnomusicologist of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was carried out in cooperation with the school pedagogue and geography and history teacher Almir Ćehić.
Through discussion, listening, and interpretation of sevdalinka as an important part of the intangible cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, students had the opportunity to learn about the richness of musical tradition and its role in shaping the cultural identity of the community.

The project “Museums on the Move II: Cultural Heritage in the Hands of Youth” is implemented by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska as the project lead, in cooperation with the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of bringing cultural heritage topics closer to young people through modern and interactive educational programs.
This project continues a long-standing practice of bringing museums closer to young audiences, creating space for learning through experience, dialogue, and contemporary educational methods.

Activities within “Museums on the Move II” are implemented as part of the project Dialogue for the Future 3 – DFF3, carried out by UNDP, UNICEF, and UNESCO in cooperation with the United Nations Resident Coordinator, and in partnership with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project is funded by the United Nations Secretary-General’s Peacebuilding Fund (PBF).
