Call for Papers for the Herald of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Ethnology Volume, Issue No. 54 for 2026
Dear colleagues,
The Editorial Board of the Herald of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ethnology Volume, invites all interested researchers to submit papers for Issue No. 54 for the year 2026.
The Ethnology Volume of the Herald of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a scientific journal addressing cultural, historical, and scholarly topics in the fields of ethnology, folkloristics, and cultural and social anthropology. The Herald of the National Museum of BiH has been published since 1889.
In addition to the usual topics from the aforementioned research areas, Issue No. 54 also offers space for the following thematic sections:
(1) 15 years since the death of folklorist and literary historian Đenana Buturović;
(2) 70 years since the death of Czech cultural figure and melographer Ludvík Kuba;
(3) 120 years since the birth of writer and folklorist Alija Nametak;
(4) 10 years since the death of ethnologist Ljiljana Beljkašić-Hadžidedić and literary historian and folklorist Munib Maglajlić;
(5) 30 years of peace — fieldwork and activities of the Department of Ethnology after the 1992 aggression;
(6) 30 years since the genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Papers for Issue No. 54 will be accepted until June 1, 2026. Manuscripts may be submitted in Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, or English.
