The Ethnology Department’s permanent exhibition, The Life and Culture of the Urban Populace in 19th Century Bosnia and Herzegovina, provides insight into the domestic culture of well-off city dwellers and their culture in general.

This permanent exhibition in the Natural Sciences Pavilion provides insight into the fauna of the cave, a habitat type with specific ecological conditions, including increased humidity, darkness, and minimal seasonal temperature variations.

Of around 6,500 species of mammals, 200 of them have been recorded in Europe. This permanent exhibition in the Natural Sciences Pavilion shows the abundance and diversity of this segment of fauna in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This exhibition stands out in that it does not show species of animals found in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but species from other continents. Many of these species are considered exotic.

The Botanic Garden was started in 1912–13 under the supervision of the famous botanist Karl Malý (1874–1951). It has changed its appearance over time, but the main concept behind it, aside from minor alterations, is essentially unchanged.

On permanent display in the Natural Sciences Pavilion, this exhibition shows the most important and most familiar mushrooms of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
