Birds of Bosnia and Herzegovina

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the 19th and 20th centuries, the presence of 326 species from the class of birds (Aves) was recorded. Of these, 226 species were recorded as nesting, while the rest were registered in transit or during wintering. Unfortunately, according to data from the end of the 20th century, due to various negative influences, 16 species were marked as extinct on the list of nesting sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
