Medicinal Herbs and Endemic Plants of the Dinaric Alps

Bosnia and Herzegovina is rich in species of medicinal herbs. The exhibition introduces visitors to this natural resource, indispensable for the treatment of various diseases, with a display of twenty or so species of medicinal herbs. Each preserved specimen in the herbarium is accompanied by a brief description: the parts of the plant possessing medicinal properties, its natural habitat, and its application in scientific and folk medicine. 

Visitors may also familiarise themselves with twenty endemic species from the Dinaric Alps. Each prepared specimen is accompanied by a map of the area showing the distribution of the species.
