SARAJEVO FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Dear visitors,

We proudly announce a unique attraction that will take place in the Botanical Garden of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from November 25th 2023 to March 1st 2024 - Sarajevo Festival of Lights. The light exhibition, that is, a set of light installations presenting the rich cultural and natural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will illuminate the garden during the winter months and hopefully attract a new audience and once again highlight the importance of the treasures that our Museum keeps. The project was created in cooperation with the renowned Sarajevo agency Linden, and we hope that it will continue in the coming years. Although it is designed on the model of similar events held in the botanical gardens in New York, London or Berlin, our Festival will be special due to the combination of commercial lighting (MK Illumination) with artistic works as well as the duration. During the Festival of Light, the Museum will have new working hours: from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every weekday except Monday, as well as on weekends. Every Thursday, together with the purchased ticket for the Festival of Lights, it will be possible to view the exhibitions of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
