Exhibition “Vučko Trail Through the Lens” Opened

On August 4, the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina opened the photography exhibition “Vučko Trail Through the Lens”, by Denis Ruvić, marking the tenth anniversary of one of the most recognizable trail races in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The exhibition tells the story of Vučko Trail’s journey from its beginnings in 2016, when it brought together just 90 mountain enthusiasts, to an internationally recognized event that now attracts nearly 1,000 participants from more than 30 countries.

Through the lens of the award-winning photographer Denis Ruvić, who has been documenting Vučko Trail since 2018, moments of endurance, joy, friendship, and personal victories of thousands of runners on Bjelašnica and Visočica have been captured. His photographs are not merely a story about sport—they are also a powerful visual narrative about the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the people who continue to discover them anew.

A special value of the exhibition lies in its combination of sport, nature, and cultural heritage. The Vučko Trail routes pass by medieval stećci—stone-carved tombstones—through the Rakitnica Canyon and the village of Lukomir, offering participants from around the world a unique opportunity to experience the landscapes and rich heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The exhibition “Vučko Trail Through the Lens” will remain open until August 12, 2026, at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
