Exhibition “Višnjica Pottery – An Example of Rural Pottery from Bosnia and Herzegovina”
Discover the rich heritage of traditional pottery in Bosnia and Herzegovina!
We are delighted to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Višnjica Pottery – An Example of Rural Pottery from Bosnia and Herzegovina,” which will take place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Gallery of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, starting at 2:00 p.m.

The exhibition, presented through educational panels and carefully selected professional photographs, showcases representative ethnological objects from the Višnjica pottery collection, revealing just a part of one of the most significant collections housed in the depot of the Department of Ethnology at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the historical development, characteristics, and cultural significance of Višnjica pottery, as well as the story of its preservation within the museum collection.
The exhibition and accompanying text were created by Alen Nuhanović, museum educator at the Department of Ethnology of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The photographs were taken by Adnan Šahbaz.
