
Middle Ages Section
The collection of the Department of the Middle Ages includes about 11,500 objects of medieval culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the 6th to the 15th century.
The permanent exhibition Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Middle Ages is located in three halls. The first hall presents the period from the 6th to the mid-12th century, the second hall presents the period from the 12th to the 15th century, and the third hall exhibits monuments of architecture and sculpture from the 12th to the 15th century.
The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina has two outdoor exhibitions of stećak tombstones.
