After the opening of „International James Joyce“ exhibition about the writer James Joyce, announced for Friday, September 6th at 7:00 pm, all visitors will be able to attend a lecture by Dr. James Alexander entitled:
'"Let Ireland be done once and for all with failures': James Joyce, Ireland, and the art of heroism."
Dr James Alexander is an Assistant Professor in Literature at the University of Maynooth, Ireland. He has published widely on the works of James Joyce, including his books Joyce and Betrayal (2016) and Joyce's Non-Fiction Writings (2018), both published by Palgrave Macmillan. He is currently researching the role of the bicycle in literature and culture from the late nineteenth century to the present.
