Opening hours
All collections on display:

Tuesday – Friday: 10:00–19:00
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00–18:00

The museum is closed on Mondays and the following holidays:

New Year’s Day (January 1 and 2),
Independence Day (March 1),
May Day (May 1 and 2), and
Statehood Day (November 25).

Library:
Monday – Friday: 11:00–14:00

 

Tickets

Preschool children do not pay the entrance fee

Children and young people from 6 to 18 years: 2.00 BAM

Students: 2.00 BAM (Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina; upon presentation of an index or other appropriate document) 10 BAM (International students)

Local pensioners: 2.00 BAM (upon presentation of a pension check or other appropriate document)

Adults: 20 BAM. Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina: 10 BAM (with presentation of ID card)

Adults with discount included: 6 BAM (based on concluded contracts with travel agencies)

Visit to the vault room with the original Sarajevo Haggadah: single price for less than 5 people 150 BAM or for 5 and more visitors 30 BAM per person.

The visit is organized for a group of at least five people, so it is necessary to announce it at least three days in advance to the e-mail address tickets@zemaljskimuzej.ba.

The price also includes a tour of the entire Museum, but without an expert guide.

Expert group guide (up to 30 people): 100 BAM. Groups of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina: 50 BAM

Organized expert guides are in Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian and English.

How to get to the Museum
The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in the center of Sarajevo, next to the main road. The Museum can be reached by any tram line (depending on the direction, you can get off at the “Technical School” stop), as well as by city bus on the Baščaršija-Dobrinja route.
