Section:

This is a perennial plant from the figwort family (Scrophulariaceae). It was described by Karlo Malý, who named it in honour of Kosta Hörmann, court advisor, eminent politician, and intellectual, who started, along with a group of like-minded individuals, the initiative to establish a museum in Sarajevo.

The plant is 35 cm–60 cm tall, but rare specimens reach up to 100 cm. The stem is straight, unbranched and tubular. It is covered in dense, elongated, tapering leaves, with a bare upper surface, and hair on the lower surface. It blooms in June and July, in some places through August. It has a large number of sulphur-yellow flowers forming an inflorescence which is often elongated (up to 25 cm). The fruit is a tapering ovate pod containing a number of whitish seeds.

The habitats of this species in Bosnia and Herzegovina are the mountains around Sarajevo (Jahorina, Bjelašnica, Treskavica), Mt Romanija, Tjentište, Mt Zelengora, Mt Cincar, Zovik, Kalinovik and Gacko. The species was first discovered on the slopes of Bukovik facing the Vogošća valley near Sarajevo. It is categorised as an endangered or vulnerable species.
